ZLT X11 4G+5G Wifi Router – Dual Band High Speed internet !

The ZLT X11 is not a plug-and-play toy. It’s a carrier-grade outdoor CPE (Customer Premises Equipment). When it works, it’s rock solid. When it doesn’t, people lose hours because they treat it like a normal indoor router.

I’ve installed these on rooftops, poles, even tied them to water tanks in rural setups. Seen every weird issue you can imagine.

How It Looks (So You Know What You’re Dealing With)

Typical parts:

  • Main outdoor unit (antenna + modem inside)
  • PoE injector (power over Ethernet)
  • LAN cable running inside
  • SIM slot (usually behind a sealed panel)

The #1 Reason Speeds Are Bad (Even With Full Signal)

You are connected to the wrong LTE band.

This is the mistake. Every time.

Strong signal doesn’t mean fast speed.

In Pakistan (especially Faisalabad), common bands:

  • Band selection / Band lock

What to do:

  • Switch from Auto → Manual
  • Test bands one by one:
    • Lock Band 3 → test speed
    • Lock Band 1 → test
    • Lock Band 40 → test

Stick to the fastest, not the strongest.

  • Bad setup: 5–10 Mbps
  • Proper band lock: 20–80 Mbps
  • Ideal tower + low congestion: 100 Mbps+

Positioning: Where You Mount It Matters More Than Settings

People spend hours in settings.

Meanwhile the router is:

  • Behind a wall
  • Facing wrong direction
  • Too low

What actually works:

  • Mount it outside, as high as possible
  • Face it toward the nearest tower
  • Avoid:
    • Trees
    • Metal structures
    • Thick walls

Quick trick:

Use your phone:

  • Install Network Cell Info Lite
  • Walk around rooftop
  • Find direction with best RSRP / SINR

Then point the ZLT X11 there.


Signal Metrics That Actually Matter (Not Bars)

Forget signal bars. Useless.

Check these in router panel:

  • Set APN manually

Using It As WiFi Router Inside the House

The outdoor unit isn’t meant to blast WiFi through walls.

Do this instead:

  • Connect LAN to a proper indoor router (TP-Link, etc.)
  • Disable WiFi on X11 (optional)
  • Let indoor router handle coverage

Cleaner setup. Better range.


Weird Edge Cases I’ve Seen (And Fixed)

Yeah, these happen:

  • Full signal but 0 Mbps → tower overloaded, switch band
  • Disconnect every few minutes → bad PoE cable
  • Speed drops at night → congestion, not your fault
  • Works great in morning, slow in evening → classic tower load

And one rare one:

  • Firmware bug → fixed only after factory reset + reconfig

Factory Reset (When Everything Is Broken)

Press reset button:

  • Hold 10–15 seconds
  • Wait full reboot

Then:

  • Reconfigure APN
  • Re-lock band
